The final poster of the MED Festival is presented this Saturday, May 25, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, in a session that will feature a concert by Fogo-Fogo.
After the sessions at Lisbon Tourism Exchange, panties coffee e Capitol, this will be another moment in which the event's organization intends to communicate some news but, above all, to bring together the public that follows this event, artists, agents and entities that are linked to the MED Festival.
For this moment, when the last two names that close the musical lineup of the main stages of MED will be made known, the Loulé local authority invited the group Fogo Fogo, which confirms its presence in the 2020 edition of MED.
Fogo Fogo, the project of Francisco Rebelo (bass), João Gomes (keys), Márcio Silva (drums), Danilo Lopes and David Pessoa (voices/guitar), «has stirred up Lisbon's dance floors with uncontrollable energy. The band is an urgent manifestation of a culture that, like a volcano, is about to explode», says Câmara de Loulé.
«The musicians involved are ultra-experienced, profound connoisseurs of multiple grooves African-inspired and throw themselves into funanás and African party ball music as if 1987 had been the day before yesterday», he adds.
«And in this context, they assume the most primordial of missions: to make dance without tricks, only with charged bpms energy, with the drums and bass in permanent skidding and the sounds inspired by the “harmonica” (the concertina) commanding the melodic identity» , concludes.
The show will be presented by Raquel Bulha and Edgar Canelas, two well-known voices on radio and television and who have been present at the MED Festival over the years.
