The VII Festa do Caracol takes place from the 7th to the 10th of June, in the Municipal Garden of São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the municipality of Silves.
In an event where the snail will be king, there will also be crafts and music.
The entertainment will be «present in this action that attracts to this village in the municipality of Silves, the connoisseurs of this typically Algarve dish», says the City Council.
This is an initiative organized by União Desportiva Messinense, with the support of the Câmara de Silves.
At the same time, on the 8th and 9th of June, the 3rd Luzigás Football Tournament will also take place, with the participation of a team from Gibraltar and seven other Portuguese teams.
