Flowering torches returned to color the Passover of São Brás

Thousands of people attended the party

It is an ancient tradition (the origins date back to the XNUMXth century) which, this year, was fulfilled again. The Feast of the Florida Torches took to the streets, on Easter Sunday, in São Brás de Alportel, with the men singing the centuries-old litany: “He is risen as he said! Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!”.

The streets of the Algarve village were decorated with carpets of flowers that always give a special color to the party.

The sunny weather was another attraction for heading to São Brás, in what is the biggest party in the county.

As usual, thousands of people, including Portuguese and foreigners, attended.
