The second period for submitting applications in the context of the initiative Portugal Social Innovation, concerning the Partnership for Impact Programme, launched by the Regional Operational Program CRESC ALGARVE 2020, was extended until 6 June.
Launched in February, “this notice [No. ALG-34-2019-02] is intended for projects for sustainability, innovation and social experimentation, to be implemented through the “Partnerships for Impact” program, one of the instruments of the Portugal Social Innovation Initiative».
As CCDR Algarve explains, the program «has as specific objectives to support the dynamism of social entrepreneurship and to foster innovative local approaches to social development and to promote local strategies for active inclusion».
The “Partnerships for Impact” program, in line with the specific objectives of CRESC Algarve 2020, “aims to stimulate the creation, development and/or growth of Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Initiatives (IIES) with high impact potential, promoting the its operational and financial strength”.
The measure also intends to "stimulate the practice of social investment by leveraging the private or public financing of social investors and deepening their vocation of impact philanthropy, which implies the multi-year financial support for initiatives, providing monitoring and requiring measurement of results and promotion of its financial sustainability'.
CRESC Algarve 2020 has reserved an allocation of 2,5 million euros, with the public contribution of eligible expenditure being shared by the European Social Fund – ESF (80%).
Applications must be submitted at Balcão 2020 by 18 pm on June 00th
