Sea and nautical are shown in Faro

A Farnáutica – Exhibition of the Sea and Nautical Faro takes place from 3 to 5 May, at Jardim Manuel Bivar, in the center of the Algarve capital. 

In addition to recreational boats and nautical material, there is also the presence of about two dozen institutions and companies linked to the sea sector and the existence of a gastronomy tent with taverns, where dishes and snacks related to fish and seafood will be served. , such as razor clams, cuttlefish, oysters, clams, clams, crabs, xarem and shrimp.

This exhibition, which is now in its 5th edition, aims to promote activities related to the nautical world and the sea sector.

«The aim is thus to strengthen the vocation and relationship of the city of Faro with the coast, with the sea and with the Ria Formosa underlining its history, its culture and its identity in which the sea plays a crucially important role», says the União de Freguesias de Faro.

On Friday, May 3rd, a cycle of conferences on the theme “The Algarve and the Economy of the Sea – Sustainability: A look into the future” will take place at the exhibition's premises, starting at 11:00 am and only ending at 17:00 pm.

Admission is free every day. The fair will be open from 11:00 am to 23:00 pm.

Simultaneously with this exhibition, there will be an Algarve regional handicraft fair with the presence of around two dozen exhibitors.
