A man suspected of having committed four robberies in the streets of Vila Real de Santo António was arrested and is awaiting trial in preventive detention.
The crimes of which the now accused is suspected were committed between December 2018 and March 2019. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, who ordered the arrest, the 32-year-old man is suspected of “having approached several people in the street and forced them to deliver various values to it».
"The defendant has a criminal record and has been on parole since June 2018," added the MP.
The inquiry is being directed by the 2nd section of Faro of DIAP, with the assistance of the Public Security Police of Vila Real de Santo António.
