1000 athletes from all over the country will compete in the 15th edition of the Mega Sprinter, this Friday, the 5th, and Saturday, the 6th, at the Municipal Athletics Track of Faro.
Since the beginning of this competition, in all phases that led to the qualification (schools, regional and national), around 18 students from more than 760 schools have participated.
The opening ceremony of this 15th edition is scheduled for the 5th, at 20 pm at the Penha Municipal Sports Pavilion, in Faro.
The final phase of the Mega Sprinter competition starts this Friday, the 5th, at 21 pm, and includes sprint, long jump, weight throw and adapted throw events.
The event is organized by the School Sports division of the Directorate-General for Education and by the Directorate-General for Schools, in partnership with the Portuguese Athletics Federation and has the support of the Municipality of Faro.
