Vicente de Mateos (Louletano/Aviludo) took 3rd place in the 2nd stage of the Volta ao Alentejo, played this Thursday, March 21, between Mértola and Odemira, repeating the result in the first run.

In yet another sprint arrival, Enrique Sanz (Euskadi Basque Country-Murias), the yellow jersey, repeated yesterday's victory. The Spaniard cut the goal in 4 hours, 7 minutes and 2 seconds. This was the same time that Vicente de Mateos managed.

In this stage, the highlight goes to João Rodrigues, from W52-FC Porto, from Algarve, who finished 8th, and Rinaldo Nocentini (Sporting/Tavira) who finished 11th.

In the individual overall, Enrique Sanz is still the yellow jersey, followed by the Spaniard De Mateos, from Louletano, with the same time (9 hours, 13 minutes and 45 seconds).

As for Sporting/Tavira, the best placed athlete in general is Nocentini (13th).

The third stage, this Friday, the 22nd, takes the platoon from the coast to the interior of the Alentejo, joining Santiago do Cacém to Mora, in a journey of 176,5 kilometers.
