The launch of a book, the inauguration of the trophy room and a gala, initiatives to take place in April, will help Silves Futebol Clube to celebrate 100 years of existence.
The anniversary dates back to April 4th and, as such, Silves, which disputes the I District Division, programmed, with the support of the City Council, the Parish Council of several partners, «a set of events related to this date memorable".
So, on April 4th, at 17 pm, the trophy room will be inaugurated, located in the Mário José Gonçalves Pavilion, followed by a street street through the city, with the club's athletes.
Starting at 18 pm, in Paços do Concelho, a session will be held in honor of the former directors who presided over the Silves Futebol Clube, in an initiative of the Municipality of Silvense.
On the 5th, at 21 pm, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, the work “Por Silves, Pelo Silves – 30 Anos”, by journalist Armando Alves, will be presented, portraying a century of existence of the community, followed by a gathering on the occasion of the Centenary, with the presence, among others, of former directors, coaches and players.
On the 6th, the Mário José Gonçalves Pavilion will receive, from 21 pm, the gala commemorating the centenary, with a multimedia show and many surprises.
Also as part of the program of festivities that mark the centenary of Silves, on April 15, from 18 pm, the local accommodation Domus Xilb will be inaugurated, on Rua Francisco Gomes Pablos (former headquarters of the club).
On the 19th and 20th, the Estádio Dr. Francisco Vieira will host the XNUMXth edition of the Silves Youth Tournament – Rui Bento, in honor of the player, Portuguese international and native of Silves.
