The Vila do Bispo rally will hit the road this weekend, on the 30th and 31st of March.
The competition counts towards the South Rally Championship and Kumho Trophy 2019.
Over the two days, competitors will cover 129,05 kilometers. On Saturday night, the 30th, the competition will take place, as usual, on a circuit designed inside the village, between the roundabout “Homem do Mar”, Rua Ribeira do Poço and the roundabout “Celeiro do Algarve”.
On Sunday morning, there will be two stretches of dirt, where the riders will go through the Raposeira (Pec-Raposeira) and Pedralva (Pec – Pedralva) qualifying rounds, starting at 10:00 and 10:45, respectively.
Organized by the Clube Automóvel do Sul, this sporting event “is an excellent vehicle for tourist promotion in the municipality”, according to the Vila do Bispo Council, and has the support of the local authority.
Areas for the public who want to watch the race:
ZP-1 – Leave Vila do Bispo in Raposeira, turn left.
ZP-2-3 – EN 268 after the start of the Special Classification Test (PEC) Raposeira, turn right and you will find the PEC in an area with good visibility.
ZP-4 – In Budens, you can go to Lagoa de Budens and there you will find the two PECs, one to the left and one to the right.
ZP-5 – In Budens, you can turn to Pedralva and you will find a hook on the right with good visibility.
ZP-6-4-7 – EN 268 to Pedralva then follow in the direction of Budens you will find the PEC de Budens with a hook to the right. If you continue to the right towards Lagoa de Budens you will find the PEC da Raposeira with spectacular curves.
