Lucélia Glória becomes world vice champion in adapted riding in Abu Dhabi

The world runner-up is a NECI user of Lagos

This Saturday, the Algarve's Lucélia Glória won the silver medal in adapted riding, at the Special Olympics World Games, which are being played in Abu Dhabi (Dubai).

The world vice-champion at CS level, in Adapted Riding, is a user of NECI – Specialized Center for Citizens Included, from Lagos.

The Municipality of Lagos awarded a subsidy of 2500 euros to help in the preparation phase of the Portuguese team, which includes Lucélia Glória.

The preparation of the Portuguese team that is in Dubai lasted a year, with training and internships at Jamor, Pedras Salgadas and Setúbal. The last stage took place, in February, at Quinta do Paraíso Alto, in Bensafrim, with the Special Olympics Portugal delegation, an initiative carried out in partnership by NECI and the Adapted Horse Riding Association of Barlavento, with the support of the Câmara de Lagos.
