The Municipality of Faro and the Association for the Defense of the Consumer (DECO) will celebrate, this Friday, March 15th, at 10:00 am, in the Main Hall of Paços do Concelho, a cooperation protocol.

The protocol, which was approved at the Chamber Meeting on the 4th, by unanimous vote of councilors, provides for the provision of free legal support in matters related to consumer protection.

In parallel, DECO will support the Consumer Defense Service, part of the Municipal Council's Municipal Support Division, operating at the Citizen's Shop, in the Municipal Market of Faro, ensuring legal support and providing diverse information.

DECO will also collaborate with the Municipality in actions to be developed with schools, IPSS and others, in order to make its workers, users and families aware of the new issues related to consumption.

With this project, the municipality and DECO "intend, in a logic of proximity, to strengthen the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the municipality's consumers, giving voice to their demands and contributing to the improvement of their quality of life", says the Chamber in Faro.
