Conan Osiris, and his song “Telemoveis”, was the winner of the 53rd edition of the Festival RTP da Canção, which took place tonight at Portimão Arena.
Conan will thus be Portugal's representative at the Eurovision Festival, which is being held this year in Israel.
“Mobile Phones” achieved the highest score (12 points) from six of the seven regional juries. Only the Algarve jury, consisting of Susana Travassos, João Ferreira and Dino de Santiago, who was the spokesperson, gave 10 points to Conan Osiris and the maximum score to “Igual a Ti”, by NBC.
The public vote also attributed the maximum 12 points to the song “Telemoveis”.
In second place was NBC, with 18 points, followed by Matay, with 17. In the following places, were, in that order, Madrepaz, Surma, Calema, Mariana Bragada and Ana Cláudia.
The final of the 53rd Festival RTP da Canção, which was presented by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim, was broadcast live worldwide from Portimão Arena.
