Almargem will set out on the road and follow the trail of the Algarve's dinosaurs, on Saturday, between 9:30 am and 13:00 pm. The Algarve environmental association promotes yet another of its thematic walks, this time on the coastal stretch between Praia da Salema and Praia Santa, in Vila do Bispo, «one of the most beautiful coastal strips in the Algarve».

The walk “No Rasto dos Dinossauros Algarvios” will be guided by Francisco Lopes, from GeoWalks & Talks and will have a length of about kilometers (easy to medium difficulty). The meeting point is at the Praia da Salema car park at 9:30 am.

«In addition to the scenic beauty, these beaches have a fantastic history going back millions of years, from the time when dinosaurs stepped on and left their marks on the Algarve's land. The exploration of the stories of rocks, dinosaur footprints and fossils of various beings existing in Praia da Salema and Praia Santa will enable us to make a fantastic journey back in time», according to Almargem.

Participation in the initiative costs 8 euros per person and is free for children under 12, "but not recommended for children under 10".

The inscriptions can be done online and close on March 22, at 12:00, "or as soon as the maximum number of participants is reached".

The organization advises the use of comfortable shoes and clothing, a hat and sunscreen. Participants must also bring water and a small snack.
