As Moçoilas, the group of female voices that sings a cappella fashions from the interior of the South, will give a show this Friday, February 22, at 21 pm, at Multiusos de Aljezur, to close the first night of the Biennial of Nature Tourism.

Inês Rosa promises: «Even the sweet potatoes will sing!!!»

At a time when Local Development had greater strength in the country, the need arose to bring a representation of mountain culture (Algarve Norte and Alentejo Sul) to an exhibition and sharing of various regions.

Based on the oral, sung or spoken heritage and a strong bond with the people of the Serra do Caldeirão, it was decided to create a group of women's voices that could be heard, giving voice to those mountains and to a region that was never sung. .

The Moçoilas emerged in 1994 and, since then until today, they continue to sing and make the South felt. Always composed of women's voices, the group presents a work where ethnographic rigor, tradition, relaxation, but also modernity and a subtle coexistence. touch of originality.

In terms of entertainment, BTN'19's Arraial da Identidade space also presents, on Saturday 23rd, at 17:30 pm, a performance by the Banda Filarmónica dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Aljezur, and at 21:00 pm, the Trio by Nelson Conceição, with accordion, guitar and fado.

On Sunday, the 24th, at 16:30 pm, the Odiáxere Folklore and Ethnographic Ranch will perform, as well as, at 20:00 pm, the young accordionist Francisco Monteiro.

This Arraial da Identidade, explains the organization of BTN'19, is «isign of the Algarve's identity”, bringing the “festival, customs and customs of local communities”, with “music, dances, singing and gastronomy, to end each day in a big way”.
