Pianist Júlio Resende will return to his hometown, Olhão, to present his new album “Cinderella Cyborg” at the Municipal Auditorium, on March 8, at 21 pm.
In this show, as the Câmara de Olhão describes, Júlio Resende “try to establish a possible dialogue between the human and the inhuman, between the flesh and the chips, between the acoustic of the piano and the double bass and the electronic of the computer and pads”.
«Between his freedom as a pianist and the rigidity of the language of computers, between the extreme imperfection of the human and the impossible perfection of the machine, even in music it is difficult to reunite with the machine: the machine never falters, the machine does not like to wait , but the human is always flexible», adds the municipality.
“If we don't overcome difficulties, we don't find peace. Peace is always about overcoming and not about conflict”, adds Júlio Resende.
The musician from Olhano will perform for the first time in the Algarve after being awarded the “Personality of the Year in the South” award from the opinion site “Lugar ao Sul”".
