Cristina Branco presents her latest album in Loulé

Album "Branco" will be premiered in the south of the country

Cristina Branco will present her most recent work, the album “white”, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, tomorrow, at 21:30 pm.

The Portuguese artist will make known in Loulé her latest album of originals, released in February 2018, which «was received in the best possible way by the critics», according to Câmara de Loulé.

For the local authority, Cristina Branco is "one of the most important personalities in Portuguese music in recent times", not least because of her voice, but also "by her refined repertoire" and the trio of "excellent instrumentalists" that accompany her, formed by Bernardo Couto on Portuguese guitar, Bernardo Moreira on double bass and Luís Figueiredo on piano.

These characteristics make the singer «increasingly synonymous with sophistication, innovation and tradition».

Cristina Branco says, moreover, that this is the album where she made a point of getting rid "of any prejudice, joining realities that gradually transform into a new-normal in which everything is possible and the alternatives are clear, clear."

In 2017, Cristina Branco had already been distinguished with the 2Nelhor Disco award by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores, for the album “Menina”, and was nominated for a Golden Globe in the category of “Best Individual Performer”.

«The shows all over Europe are multiplying (from Spain to Holland, from Denmark to Sweden) and indicate that the designation “fado-jazz” is gaining more and more meaning», adds Câmara de Loulé.

Tickets for the concert cost 12 euros for the general public and 10 euros for over 65s and under 30s. Friend Card is applicable.
