“Archaeology in Tavira” is the theme of a round table that is scheduled for next Friday, March 1st, at 15 pm, at the Islamic Center of the Municipal Museum of Tavira.

This round table will mark the closing of the exhibition “Archaeology in Tavira: unraveling the past”, which ends on Saturday 2 March.

According to the Câmara de Tavira, "this action aims to publicly debate the relationship between urbanism and urban rehabilitation with archeology."

The initiative has the presence of João Pedro Rodrigues, councilor for Urbanism, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jorge Queiroz head of the Culture, Heritage and Museums Division, Rui Parreira, archaeologist of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, Fernando Santos and Brígida Mateus, archaeologists , Aida Correia, architect, and Ricardo Tomás, owner of the work.
