D. João Marcos, Bishop of Beja, carries out, from 6 to 10 February, a pastoral visit to the Parish of Mértola and its annexes.
The visit program includes a wide range of initiatives with the population and the celebration of the Eucharist in several churches in the municipality.
On the first day of his visit to the county, D. João Marcos will be received in the main hall of the Town Hall by the county mayors and security forces.
Its agenda includes visits to various locations and social support institutions, including the Social Support Center of Moreanes, the Social Center of Montes Altos, the Volunteer Firefighters of Mértola, the Children's Center of Santa Casa, the Continued Care Unit and the Home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Mértola.
D. João Marcos ends his visit on Sunday, with a Eucharist with the celebration of Confirmation in the Igreja Matriz in Mértola.
