Innovation in crafts is a topic of conversation in Loulé

Event has free entry

A session to disseminate new trends in handicraft takes place next Tuesday, January 22, at 14:30 pm, at the Auditorium of the Convento do Espírito Santo, in Loulé.

The Vocational Training Center for Crafts and Heritage (CEARTE), in partnership with the Municipality of Loulé, through its Loulé Criativo project, comes to present and deepen central issues related to handicrafts.

João Amaral, designer at CEARTE, will address current trends in fashion, design and the market for crafts in 2018 and 2019, while Ana Cristina Mendes and Luís Rocha, who are also part of this Center, will talk about training in crafts as a tool for modernization.

Finally, the duo of creatives from Oficina Poeta Azul and residents of the Loulé Design Lab – Sofia Correia and Chris Whitelaw – closes the session, presenting how their projects relate technology to crafts.

As part of the Loulé Design Lab conversation cycle, this event is free.
