Estrada do Vau will have new pavement

Works cost around 70 thousand euros

The Vau road, in Portimão, will be given a new pavement, with the works to start this month of January.

The contract costs around 71 thousand euros.

Despite being a secondary road, «the Estrada do Vau is used daily by thousands of cars, especially during the summer, and the pavement has long needed a global intervention for restoration», says the Portimão Town Council.

Aware of this fact, the municipality "decided to intervene on that road in the next two months, through a project that aims, in addition to recovering the floor, to guarantee an adequate circulation of rainwater and to discipline parking."

«In terms of the work, a rainwater collector and respective sinks will be built, the road will be tarred and horizontal and vertical signage will be implemented», explains the City Council of Portimão.

The alternative car circulation will be signposted on the spot, guarantees the municipality.
