On the 11th of January, the Aliança Party held its first Militant Assembly in the Algarve, at the Hotel Brisa Sol, in Albufeira. The meeting was attended by Paulo Sande, an independent candidate for the European Elections for this party, who chose the Algarve for the first visit on his return to the country.
Besides Paulo Sande, Luís Cirilo, executive director of Aliança Nacional, Cláudia Gonçalves, coordinator of Aliança Algarve, and all the members of the Installation Committee also participated in the assembly.
At the meeting, the members of the Installation Committee were introduced and Afonso de Lousada and João Martins were introduced as the heads of the Communication and Information Office.
The meeting began with the performance of Maxim Golovachev and Sérgio Gladkyy, "two well-known young accordionists". For Aliança Algarve, «this cultural moment is a sign that politics wants to innovate».
