Jackson Martínez was in the spotlight tonight, in Portimonense's 3-1 triumph, against Vitória de Setúbal, in a match that marked the start of the 13th round of the Primeira Liga. The Colombian striker scored twice and was involved in the Algarve team's other goal.

Portimonense started the game better and scored after ten minutes. After a corner from the left, Jackson jumped higher than everyone else and headed for Joel Pereira's defense. On the reload, Jadson was unforgiving and made it 1-0.

The advantage on the scoreboard did not slow down the Algarve, who continued to create dangers. At 32, Manafá crossed from the left, Jackson received it in the area, rolled and fired in an arc, but the shot by the Portimonense forward hit the bar.

Three minutes later, another ball in the iron for Portimonense. After Ricardo Ferreira's long throw, Nakajima assisted Ewerton, who shot on the pass, but Joel Pereira managed to deflect the shot to the crossbar.

Even before the break, Portimonense made it 2-0. At 42′, Manafá went down the left and assisted Jackson at the edge of the area, who, at first, shot low and without a chance for Vitória de Setúbal's goalkeeper.

The two coaches messed up at half-time, but Portimonense continued to improve and, at 58′, reached 3-0, again through Jackson Martínez. Nakajima crossed from the left and the Colombian headed, top to bottom, for the goal.

Vitória de Setúbal still managed to reduce, at 60′, through a header by Mikel Agu, after a corner kick from the left.

Setubalenses had two more opportunities to score, both by Éber Bessa. At 80′, Mendy shot to Ricardo Ferreira's defense, forward, and Éber Bessa, on reload, fired in the direction of goal, where Jadson was avoiding the 3-2.

In added time, the Brazilian midfielder fired strong, on the edge of the area, and the ball crashed into the post.

With this victory, Portimonense catches Vitória de Setúbal in the table and rises to 10th place, with the same 17 points as Setubalenses and Santa Clara.
