Loulé inaugurated three works of the Participatory Budget

Pedestrian walk in Vale Judeu was one of the inaugurated works

Three works included in the Loulé Participatory Budget were inaugurated by the municipality. Two of the works were inaugurated in Vale Judeu and the third was inaugurated in Alte.

The construction of a pedestrian walkway from the church of Vale Judeu to the Várzea da Mão road was one of the investments now completed. This work corresponds to the 2015 OP.

The other project inaugurated in Vale Judeu, which won the 2016 OP, was the redevelopment of the school's games space in this location, which included the installation of a floor, fencing, exterior access and lighting.

The Loulé Council emphasizes that Vale Judeu is one of the towns in the municipality «which has had one of the largest participations over the years of this Budget, with the value defined for each being 59 thousand euros».

The other work inaugurated was the most voted proposal in 2016 in the parish of Alte. The creation of a school shelter with the requalification of washing facilities in Largo Elmano Costa, which had a value defined in the 2016 edition of 48 thousand euros, «comes in addition to the dozens of achievements already completed under the Participatory Budget of the Municipality of Loulé , whose first edition took place in 2014», highlights the municipality.

For municipal officials, "this has been a far-reaching measure in view of the involvement of all citizens in municipal governance, in what we consider to be the true working democracy, since it is, in fact, the citizens who directly choose which the projects they want to see carried out in the Municipality».

On the other hand, the Chamber emphasizes "the equitable and proportional way in which investments are applied in each of the parishes of the municipality".
