Government pays 486 million CAP aid to farmers on 31 December

On Monday, December 31st, the Government will pay 486 million euros in aid to farmers, under the support of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union, financed by national and community funds.

These funds will be transferred to beneficiaries through the Institute for Financing Agriculture and Fisheries.

"The 486 million euros that farmers receive next Monday are part of the global amount of 1.440 million euros paid to Portuguese farmers in 2018," added the Ministry of Agriculture.
