The band “Íris” and DJ Christian F are the protagonists of the New Year's Eve party, on December 31, at Jardim Manuel Bivar, in Faro.
According to the Chamber of Faro, in the celebrations, with free entry, the “usual fireworks” will also be lacking.
The end of the year festivities begin at 23 pm with the performance of “Íris”, a band founded by Domingos Caetano, in Fuzeta. «One of the oldest in the country in activity, this group created in 00 will offer the public with many of their hits that are already part of the history of rock in Portugal», says the municipality.
When the clock strikes 00:00, the usual fireworks will be launched and 2019 will start downtown, still to the sound of “Iris”, which will be on stage until close to 00:30, when DJ Christian F's performance will begin.
«The last artist to liven up the party is today one of the great promises at the national level, especially in the south of the country, where he assumes increasing prominence».
«Through his constant ascent, Christian F, saw three nominations in the “Portugalnight awards” as new DJ in 2004 and best resident DJ (S Club in Castro Verde) in 2005 and 2007».
The New Year's Eve party is jointly organized by the City Council of Faro, ambifaro, ACRAL and write-off of Faro, with the support of Fagar and the Parish Union of Faro.
