Farense gives a New Year's gift to fans by thrashing Oliveirense

The five goals were all scored in the second half of the match

Farense ended 2018 with a rout against Oliveirense. Playing at home and with a renovated lawn, the team Faro won 5-0. And it only took one part, the second, to mark them all.

After a first part where the marker doesn't untied, Farense took the lead in the 52nd minute, through Ryan Gauld. The midfielder loaned by Sporting had to be the figure of the game, when scoring twice, but not before giving the opportunity to other teammates to taste the foot.

On 58 minutes, Irobiso also put the ball into Oliveirense's goal and Jorge Ribeiro did the same, in the 67th minute. Tavares.

Ryan Gauld's second goal in the match – and Farense's fourth – was scored in the 70th minute. Ten minutes later, at 80, André Vieira signed the 5-0 and sealed the final result.

With this convincing victory, Farense rose, to the condition, to the sixth position of the II League and ends the year eight points behind the pair that leads the championship, although with one game less than Famalicão (2nd place) and two less than the Paços de Ferreira (1st).

Farense is among the teams with the most games played in the league, 15 in total, but some of their direct competitors only have 14 or even 13 games.
