Helping both entrepreneurs, who are entering the business world, and economists, through training and beyond. This is the objective of a protocol signed this Monday, December 10th, between the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) and the Regional Delegation of the Algarve of the Portuguese Economists, which wants to be «much more than a simple paper» .
The idea is to make this partnership something reciprocal for the two entities. As Hugo Vieira, regional director of ANJE explained, “we want both the members of the Order of Economists and those of ANJE to be able to promote themselves, even creating some synergies”.
One of the actions already confirmed is a training given by the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs to members of the Order of Economists on business applications for community funds.
It will be the 22nd and 24th of January next year and the topic is not innocent. «We consulted our members and the issue of community funds was the one that generated the most interest», revealed Luís Serra Coelho, president of the Regional Directorate of the Ordem dos Economistas.
The area of formations is, in fact, one of those on which the protocol now signed wants to bet. “We are already thinking of two more. We want to have a permanent calendar of three or four training courses per year, within themes that make sense both for ANJE and for the Order of Economists», explained Hugo Vieira.
For the regional director of ANJE, this is an important partnership because «the Order of Economists always has a seal of quality and the connection gives us the ability to work the economic and financial part in another way».
Luís Serra Coelho, on the other hand, considers the protocol an «interesting working tool» that can go far beyond the question of training.
«On another aspect, I think it is necessary to discuss the Algarve's economy: identify what problems there are to solve. One way to do this is to open up the discussion and look for partners who can introduce the disruption. Since ANJE is an association of young entrepreneurs, who better to discuss this change?».
In parallel, in the economist's opinion, there is an urgent need for “greater discussion about the space of new companies related to the area of Information and Communication Technologies”. One of them is Yourdata, pointed out as an example of how this protocol can be beneficial for both entities.
One of the members of this company is a member of the Order of Economists and will, from next year, be incubated at ANJE's facilities. Therefore, one of the future joint initiatives will present Yourdata as a model.
But, as this is a «comprehensive protocol that allows us to be creative», there are issues that can be worked on, such as entrepreneurship or even the mentoring of retired members of the Order of Economists to young ANJE entrepreneurs.
Cláudio Lima, member of the Regional Directorate of the Order of Economists, was also present at the signing of this protocol, underlining its advantages.
These are "two entities that have every interest in working together," he said.
