Loulé Civil Protection launches mobile application

Application was publicly presented this Thursday, October 25, during the 7th edition of the Seminar “Civil Protection and Community”

Loulé Civil Protection now has a mobile application for the Android and IOS system, which provides information on weather conditions and the risk of fire. 

This is «an easy-to-access computer tool, transversal to various age groups, intuitive and easy to use».

The application provides notices to the population, contacts, useful information and general news about civil protection and the municipality of Loulé.

"In the coming months, new dividers will be integrated, which will meet the needs of the population, in what concerns this theme", guarantees the City Council of Loulé.

This application was publicly presented this Thursday, October 25, during the 7th edition of the Seminar “Civil Protection and Community”.

Specialists from various areas, from security to forests, including climate change, communication or tourism, «were in Loulé to debate civil protection issues that are increasingly crucial for raising citizens' awareness and for instilling a culture in the community. of security".

This initiative was once again promoted as part of the International Day for Disaster Reduction, instituted by the United Nations in 1989, with the purpose of sensitizing governments, organizations and citizens around the world to the need to develop actions that contribute to preventing risks and reducing vulnerabilities, increasing the resilience of communities and the capacity to anticipate and respond to the occurrence of serious accidents or catastrophes.
