Lagoa joins the Board of Directors of the European Network of Wine Cities

Election took place in Paris, with the presence of the vice-president of the Chamber of Lagoa

The Lagoa City Council is part of the Board of Directors of the European Network of Wine Cities (RECEVIN), which met on the 12th of October at the Town hall of Paris, to elect the representatives of that body, on behalf of the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities (AMPV), for the term of 2018-2021.

It was unanimously voted on the proposal that renews, in the presidency of RECEVIN, the Municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz, through its president José Calixto, for another term.

The day also served for the Portuguese AMPV delegation to participate in the inauguration of the Paris Harvest Festival.

The meeting was attended by the president and secretary general of the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities, Pedro Ribeiro and José Arruda, the Ambassador of Portugal Jorge Torres Pereira, the Portuguese-French councilor of the Paris City Council, Hermano Sanches Ruivo, from president of RECEVIN and of Portuguese mayors of the European City of Wine 2018, including Luís Encarnação, vice-president of the Municipality of Lagoa.

The European Wine Cities Network has the support of national wine cities associations existing in most of the ten countries that make up the network (Serbia, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Greece, France, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Germany and Austria) .
