A photo of João Rodrigues, resident in the Algarve for over a decade, was chosen as the cover of the science communication magazine “Nano News”.
This is an edition dedicated to combating pollution by plastics in the oceans and, according to João Rodrigues, «my image could not have been used in a better way».
“After all, this is the real meaning of my work: to fight for the preservation of our oceans and for our future”, says the biologist and underwater photographer.

Joao Rodrigues, F.otojournalist of Natural History and Conservation, specializing in marine ecosystems, is also preparing the book and short film “War Horses” that aims to raise awareness of the problem of seahorses in the Ria Formosa.
