Algarve had more tourists in September

Since the beginning of the year, the room occupancy rate has decreased by 0,9%

The average global occupancy rate per room was 91,1% in September, in the Algarve, 2,9% higher than in the same period of the previous year, according to data disclosed by the Association of Hotels and Touristic Enterprises of the Algarve (AHETA). 

According to AHETA, the increase verified was mainly due to the national (+12,2%) and French (+26,7%) markets. The markets that showed the biggest declines were the Dutch (-21,0%), the Irish (-6,8%) and the British (-3,9%)».

Sales volume increased by 1,1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Since the beginning of the year, the room occupancy rate has decreased by 0,9% and turnover has increased by 2,9%.
