Small artists exhibit Olhão's built heritage at the Municipal Museum

Exhibition with works by students from schools in the county will be on display between 28 September and 30 November

“The built heritage in the municipality of Olhão” is the title of the new temporary exhibition at the Municipal Museum of Olhão – Compromisso Marítimo Building, which will be on display between 28 September and 30 November. The works were produced by children from schools in the municipality.

As the Chamber of Olhão explains, «the origin of the exhibition is the Heritage Education Project “The Museum goes to School”, carried out during the 2017/2018 school year under the coordination of the Museum, which had the partnership of the four groups of schools in the county, and through which about 470 children who attended the public pre-school participated in the project and produced a set of high quality original productions, now on display».

The community in general «is invited to know the “large and well-known houses” that have been built over time to help the population of Olho to their daily lives, such as the Markets or churches, and share with all this legacy», stresses the municipality.

This exhibition will also be the motto of the next “Museum Conversations”, which will take place on September 29, at 15:30 pm.

«Around a coffee table, memories and experiences will be shared with those who were close to the main participants in the exhibition: the children of the municipality», concludes the Chamber of Olhão.
