Mesa de Lagoa is the Algarve's representative at the last pre-finalists' gala of the 7 Maravilhas and has the home factor. This gala will take place in Lagoa, next Sunday, September 2nd.
In addition to Lagoa, tables from Aveiro, Calheta, Gouveia, Monção, Tarouca and Villa Oeiras will be presented by Catarina Furtado and José Carlos Malato, at a gala where there will be no lack of good mood and music to the sound of The Gift and Rapsódia à Mesa.
The event, which will be broadcast live on RTP1, will take place in the outer square in front of the Municipal Auditorium of Lagoa, between 21:00 pm and 23:00 pm.
So far, of the eight tables in the Algarve competing at 7 Maravilhas, only the one in Albufeira has gone on to the Grande Final, which will take place, precisely, at Praça da Praia dos Pescadores, in Albufeira, on the night of 16th September.

The Lagoa table proposes, for starters, an old delicacy, the sardines of the “good death”, “hidden in the drawer”. In the soup category, it presents a dish that was the basis of the diet of many people in the Algarve, until a few decades ago, corn porridge with clams.
For the fish dish, it proposes the stuffed squid and, for the meat dish, it has beans and cabbage with meat from the salt pan.
The Marquês dos Vales White 2016 wine will accompany the “boa morte” sardines and the stuffed squid, while the Marquês dos Vales Tinto Grande Escolha 2014 was chosen to accompany the beans with cabbage with the meats from the salt pan.
