Albufeira table at the end of the 7 Wonders of the Table

There are still four other tables from the Algarve with the possibility of being in the final of this competition

The table in Albufeira and Olhos d'Água will be at the final of the 7 Maravilhas à Mesa, which will take place on the 16th of September at Praia dos Pescadores… in Albufeira. This is the first of seven Algarve entries to pass the final of the competition that aims to select the best gastronomic proposals in Portugal.

After Monchique and Tavira had stayed by the way, in the 1st and 3rd pre-finalist galas, respectively, Albufeira was chosen, this Sunday, as one of the finalists, as was Alijó, the host of yesterday's gala.

The table in Albufeirense suggests two dishes with a lot of sea flavor: the sea urchins, as a snack, and the Fish Cataplana, as the main dish. Oranges, as an endogenous product, Rosé Vida Nova 2017 and Onda Nova Branco 2014 wines, as well as freshwater olheiros (on the beach) and agritourism Quinta do Mel, in the itinerary category, are the remaining proposals.

Still in competition, there are four more tables from the Algarve. Those from Loulé and Vila do Bispo will be together at the next gala, scheduled for Sunday, August 19, and which will take place in Odemira.

Silves' table will attend the penultimate pre-finalist gala, scheduled for 26 August, in Tomar, and Lagoa's will participate in the knockout that this Algarve municipality will host on 2 September.

At each of the pre-finalist galas, seven tables participate, two of which qualify for the final.
