The Regional Meeting of Culture and Continuing Education, called «Saberes em Festa», will take place in Lagoa, on the next 9th and 10th of November.
The Meeting is the result of a partnership established, for the second consecutive year, by the Municipality of Lagoa, the Portuguese Association for Culture and Continuing Education (APCEP), the Algarve Region Services Directorate (General Directorate of School Establishments) and the University of Algarve.
«Saberes em Festa» will take place in the cultural spaces of the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium and in the historic building of the Convento de S. José, offering moments of diversified participation, such as workshops, debates, exhibitions, exhibitions, shows, in an environment of learning, conviviality and animation, which seeks to promote culture and education for all, in all ages and contexts of social life.
As last year, the meeting «Saberes em Festa» aims to “bring together the many organizations and initiatives that, as the fruit of the dynamism and civic commitment of the Algarve society, foster curiosity, confidence, the desire to know more and enable people to the creation or enjoyment of cultural works», stresses the organization.
Activities of a civic, socioeconomic, scientific, artistic, environmental, sporting or recreational nature, projects that take place in cultural and educational promotion institutions for all, (for example, libraries, museums, senior universities), as well as initiatives to link schools, training centers or universities to the community in general.
