Minister of the Sea participates in official reception of the ferry that connects Funchal to Portimão

Ferry arrives this Tuesday, July 17, in Portimão, with the official welcome ceremony

Ana Paula Vitorino, Minister of the Sea, will be present this Tuesday, July 17, at 10:00 am, at the official reception ceremony to the ferry that connects Funchal to Portimão. 

This time is scheduled for 10:30 am, on the arrival of the ferry “Volcán de Tijarafe”, at the Commercial Pier in the Port of Portimão.

At 10:40 am, interventions are scheduled and, at 11:00 am, a visit to the ferry. This is not, however, the first trip of this new phase of the boat, which took place on the 2nd of July.

This ferry it has the capacity to transport 1000 passengers and 300 cars.

The trips are repeated every week at the same time and on the same days of the week, until the 20th of September.

The one-way (or one-way) fares vary between 29,10 euros for Madeira Island residents and 85 euros for non-residents. There is also the possibility of traveling in a double or quad cabin. Car transport costs 125 euros (one way).
