The maiden voyage of the ferry that will connect Portimão to Funchal takes place this Monday, 2nd July, departing at 10:30 am, from Madeira Island. 

As for the arrival, it will be this Tuesday, the 3rd, at 10:30 am, in Portimão.

Despite this being the first trip between Funchal and Portimão, the Volcan de Tirajafe left this Sunday, at 20:00, from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, heading for Madeira.

The boat has the capacity to transport 1000 passengers and 300 cars.

The trips are repeated every week at the same time and on the same days of the week, until the 20th of September.

One-way fares vary between 29,10 euros for residents of the island of Madeira and 85 euros for non-residents. There is also the possibility of traveling in a double or quad cabin. Car transport costs 125 euros (one way).
