Anyone who wants to apply for the Community Gardens of Silves can do so until the next 27th of July, in the Social Action sector of the Municipality of Silves.
These spaces are intended for the practice of horticulture, «with an eminently social and educational vocation, which will allow citizens who do not have their own land to cultivate vegetables on the soil provided by the municipality, guaranteeing this project the possibility of a supplement to household budgets relatives".
As part of the «social intervention measures» outlined by the permanent municipal executive, the project “Horta Comunitária de Silves” is also intended, according to the municipality, to «foster work and community interaction, as well as the contact of the local community with nature ».

Interested parties must submit the following documentation to the application:
– Photocopy of the Identity Card and Taxpayer Card (or Citizen Card) of all members of the Household;
– Receipts due for the last 2 months of all members of the Household;
– Documents proving the professional/social situation and income obtained in cases of retirement/unemployment/social support;
– Certificate of residence of the Household, stating the time spent in the Municipality;
