Portinado's under-16 water polo team finished the National Championship in 7th place.
After a defeat against Vitória de Guimarães, by 6-7, the team from Portimão played the game to award the 7th and 8th place with Algés.
The Portimonenses were superior, imposing a victory by 11-3.
According to Portinado, the team deserved “more, but the inexperience of some players, the lack of competitive rhythm and a rather short bench, dictated the position”.
