The 26th Algarve Sailing Tour takes place from the 5th to the 7th of July, passing through Vila Real de Santo António, Olhão, Faro, Albufeira and Lagos.

This event was designed keeping the essentials of the 2017 edition, both in the reception of sailors and in the way it will receive all guests, Portuguese and tourists, to join the vast social program that has been created.

To João Marques, president of the Clube Naval de Faro, «sailing as the most exciting and appreciated nautical sport in the world, we had to have an initiative of this level that will honor national sailing and pay homage to the Algarve and its coast as one of the best sailing fields in the world».

With the organization of the Clube Naval de Faro, co-organized by Marina de Lagos, Clube Vela de Lagos, Marina Yacht Club de Albufeira, Marina de Albufeira, Marina de Isla Canela, Associação Naval do Guadiana and Clube Náutico de Tavira and with the support of Camaras Municipal de Faro, Olhão, Albufeira and Tavira, the 26th Volta ao Algarve hopes to bring together an extensive fleet of 40 sailboats from various countries, which will join the Portuguese representatives, in a total of 200 sailors.
