A meeting of the National Youth Participatory Budget will take place this Tuesday, June 26, at 18 pm, at Colégio Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Vila Nova de Milfontes (Odemira).

The Youth Participatory Budget is a process of democratic participation, which covers the entire national territory and within which young citizens, aged between 14 and 30, can present and decide on public investment projects.

The 2018 edition has a global amount of 500 thousand euros, from the budget allocation of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, equivalent to 10% of the total value of the Participatory Budget Portugal (OPP).

The Participation Meetings are face-to-face moments for the presentation and debate of proposals at a national and regional level, as well as for clarification and assistance to young citizens who wish to actively participate in the OP Jovem process.

40 Participation Meetings will be organized across the country, with two being held per district. As a result of the work developed to promote public participation, with the Odemira Participa program, and within the scope of the youth support program, Odemira Believe in ti!, the Municipality of Odemira hosts one of the meetings of the National Youth Participatory Budget.
