The workers of Proxima, Frota Azul, Mundial Turismo and Translagos will be on strike on the 14th and 15th of June to demand better wages and equality with the other workers of the EVA group, which is part of the Barraqueiro group.

This strike was called by the STRUP – Union of Road and Urban Transport Workers of Portugal and by FECTRANS – Federation of Transports and Communications.

According to the union, the stoppage of road passenger transport will be felt “with more intensity, between 7:00 and 21:00 each day”.

For the first day of the strike, there is also a concentration of workers from these companies in front of the bus station in Faro, from 10:00 am.

Arménio Carlos, CGTP Secretary General, José Manuel, FECTRANS Coordinator, Catarina Martins, Left Bloc Coordinator, Vasco Cardoso, member of the Political Committee of the Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party, or João Vasconcelos, deputy of BE in the Assembly of the Republic.
