The MED Festival will once again present a strong musical lineup, on ten stages throughout the historic center of Loulé, from tomorrow, June 28th, until Saturday, 30th. Sunday, July 1st, is the open day.
Carlos Carmo, councilor of the Loulé Chamber and head of the festival's organization, in an interview with «Impressões», the program jointly produced by Sul Informação and by Rádio Universitária do Algarve (RUA FM), assumes that this is a festival "for families", hence the bet on some more consensual names, and less than world music, like Miguel Araújo. But there is a lot to see, hear, taste and buy over the three days of the real party.
One of the areas where MED continues to focus on is the Environment. Therefore, in addition to continuing the implementation of the ecological cup, which allowed, in the first edition in which it was used, a reduction «by about a ton of plastic collected during the festival», this year the organization innovated, through an application to the Environmental Fund, which involves the implementation of solar energy in some of the taverns.
Next year, the 15th anniversary of MED will be celebrated and Carlos Carmo, without wanting to lift the veil, has already announced that there will be news.
