GNR, Jimmy P, The Gift and Expensive Soul are confirmed names for the Al-Buhera Festival, which takes place from 25 to 29 July, at Praça dos Pescadores, in Albufeira.

Crafts, gastronomy and music are the key words of this event, which promises a lot of entertainment for the center of Albufeira.

It all starts on the 25th with GNR, a band led by the charismatic Rui Reininho, which is on its way to a 37-year career.

Jimmy P, one of the leading figures of the new generation of Portuguese music, takes the stage at 26, with a performance that will not miss his alignment of songs in the best style of rap and hip-hop. On the 27th, it will be The Gift's turn, with Sónia Tavares at the helm.

On the 28th of July, Expensive Soul performs with the closing of the event, on the 29th, to Sara Tavares, singer who won the contest “Chuva de Estrelas” from SIC (1993/1994).

The concert lineup will always have a local band or artist in the early evening and the poster will be announced soon.

In addition to these names in Portuguese music, Al-Buhera also has the fanfare “Al-Fanfare” and the percussion orchestra “Percutunes”, in the street entertainment.

Accompanying the concerts, the traditional craft show will bring together more than 60 participants, showing innovation and tradition.

«On display will be genuine pieces, produced from traditional materials such as copper, wood, cork, stones and shells from the beach, leather goods, jewelry, textiles, painting and decorative objects, including handicrafts from various points of the globe», says the City Council of Albufeira.

In addition to handicrafts, visitors can find “excellent gastronomic products, including dried fruits, jams, honey, liqueurs, preserves, regional and creative sweets, food and beverages”.

This year, Albufeira's candidacy for the “7 Maravilhas à Mesa” Program will not be forgotten, with several actions planned throughout the Festival. The event is open from 19:00 pm to 1:00 am, with shows starting at 21:00 pm.
