Final year secondary school students in Albufeira marked the conclusion of this cycle of education with a “Graduation Ceremony”, which took place on Saturday, June 9th, at the Municipal Auditorium. This initiative was organized by the students themselves, both from the Secondary School of Albufeira and the Basic and Secondary School of Albufeira.

In all, 101 students participated in this ceremony, each receiving a graduation diploma. In the end, there was dinner and a ball.

Invited to be present at the event, the mayor of Albufeira José Carlos Rolo took the opportunity to give advice to young residents. «From now on, it will be a life very different from the one they have known, with other difficulties, but all of them surmountable. Finish higher education», he advised.

Indaleta Cabrita, president of the Albufeira and Olhos d'Água Parish Council, also left a word to the final year students. “Our hearts were full: full of joy and hope. It's the end of a cycle and the beginning of another, a little more complex. If you stay in other cities from now on, don't forget your families, because the family is always with you, in good times and bad. And you need the family for all your life», considered the mayor.
