Concerts by Salvador Sobral, solo and with the “Alexander Search” project, together with the Algarvean Júlio Resende, DAMA, Diogo Piçarra and a journey back in time to the 90s will mark this year's Festival F, which takes place from the 30th of August to the 1st of September, in Faro.

The poster of the event was presented this Monday, June 4th, at Capitólio, in Lisbon, event in which the Sul Informação was present.

Salvador Sobral is part of this year's lineup, after the 2017 concerts were canceled due to the musician's state of health.

The “F” is closed with João Só, Kappa Jotta, Luís Severo, 1955, Nuno Luz (DJ Rádio Comercial), Papillon, Sacik Brow, Sean Riley and Wilson Honrado, also a DJ at Comercial.

Moving from music to stand up comedy, there will be the participation of Eduardo Madeira and the Algarvian Môce dum Cabréste. The “F” will also have exhibitions, theater, in partnership with the LAMA association, street animation, video mapping, gatherings, visual arts, children's programming and author's handicrafts.

The success of the space of street food, proven in previous editions, ensures its presence again in 2018.

In the presentation of the festival, Rogério Bacalhau, Mayor, highlighted the fact that “F” is a “Portuguese music” event, bringing together “acclaimed artists and others on the rise”. The mayor also made a point of mentioning Joaquim Guerreiro, creator of the festival, who died in September 2017.

In total, there will be seven music stages, including the Ria, in Largo de São Francisco, distributed throughout Vila Adentro.

Paulo Santos, vice president of the municipality, revealed that Palco Afonso III will return and in a different format. There will be a DJ, with the audience being able to choose between two sets and listen, in headphones, without causing noise.

This year there will also be a new gateway to Arco do Repouso, which joins Arco da Vila and Ria. As for the venue space it will be similar to last year.

Whoever goes to the "F" will still have a big news: it will be possible to see Faro from above, through three hot air balloons.

In total, 137 bands have gone through the festival and the space has grown from 5 thousand, in the first year, to 38 thousand square meters today.

Tickets are on sale now here. Daily tickets will cost 15 euros, while the general pass, for the three days, costs 30 euros, if purchased until 23:59 on 24 August.

Children up to 12 years old, inclusive, do not pay a ticket, as long as they are accompanied by an adult and their identification.
