The Vila do Bispo Council is going to give around 140 euros to the four parish councils in the municipality this year.

Of that amount, the allocation of 45.596.40 euros was based on 20% of the amount allocated by the Central Administration to each Parish.

Thus, the Parish Council of Barão de São Miguel receives 4.970.20 euros, that of Budens 10.865 euros, that of Sagres 10.882 euros and that of Vila do Bispo and Raposeira 18.879.20 euros.

These amounts are intended to «cover the expenses of those Parish Councils within the scope of their competences and attributions, reducing the insufficiency of the funds allocated by the Central Administration, through the Financial Balance Fund», says the Vila do Bispo Chamber.

As in previous years, the City Council also decided to grant additional financial support to all parishes in the municipality, in the total amount of 95 thousand euros.

From this amount, the Parish of Barão de São Miguel will receive 20 thousand euros and the remaining 25 thousand euros each.

These values “will be allocated solely and exclusively to investment expenses to be carried out by the respective Parishes. It was also decided that this additional support will be granted throughout the 2017/2021 term”, explains the City Council.

«With these values, the City Council intends to respond to the needs expressed by the Parish Councils in carrying out the various activities, developing different projects, as well as promoting local development by carrying out construction, reconstruction or improvement of facilities, equipment and other infrastructure of Parishes», he concludes.
