The first training aimed at agricultural producers starts at the end of this month of June, within the scope of the objectives of Viv'o Mercado, an initiative of the Social Network of Lagos, which aims to carry out a new market day, complementary to the existing markets.

The Viv'o Mercado started during the month of April and will run until the end of October, taking place every Wednesday, between 18:00 and 22:00, at Levante Market, in Lagos.

In this local market, visitors and interested parties can find vegetable or animal products, fresh, dried or processed (preferably of biological origin), and handicrafts whose raw material comes from the land. They also have the opportunity to enjoy the taverns, all accompanied by a diversified entertainment program.

Contributing to the increase of organic production and the promotion of employment in this area, encouraging and giving visibility to existing good local practices, and supporting other local producers in converting to this form of production, are some of the main objectives of this project.

In this sense, and seeking to respond to the support to local producers, the first training in this area will start on the 28th of June, and will be dedicated to “Certification (questions and answers) and Fertilization and preparation of the Land/soils”. It will take place between 17:00 pm and 20:00 pm at Quinta das Seis Marias, Sargaçal.

In addition to these, other trainings are planned during the year and a more intensive course in organic farming.
