The “Petiscos do Pescador” takes place from May 31st to June 3rd, at Praça do Mar, in Quarteira, and, in this edition, concerts by José Malhoa and Romana are scheduled.

The fishing tradition of the city of Quarteira is thus highlighted, as part of the celebration of Fisherman's Day, which is celebrated on May 31st.

During these days, several taverns with appetizers made by families of fishermen from Quarteira will be a mandatory stopover for those who want to enjoy the most traditional Algarve cuisine with sea flavors, with fish, seafood and molluscs as the main characters of the menus.

On May 31st, from 21 pm, the night is animated by the tribute band to Guns and Roses, Slash n' Roses.

On the 1st of June, at 21 pm, the Roman artist takes the stage, followed by a ball with Fábio Lagarto.

One of the highlights of the program is the traditional washing or dragging ashore, on the 2nd of June, at 18:00, at Praia de Quarteira.

In this unique and typical framework of this old fishing village, the population is invited to participate in the pull the net to land where you can see the wealth that is still found in the waters that bathe Quarteira, through the quantity and quality of the fish that, year after year, is caught.

«This is a unique moment in the Fisherman's Day commemorative program and one that attracts a large audience to the sands of this beach», says Câmara de Loulé.

Isa de Brito and Helder Coelho, accompanied by Ricardo Martins and Cláudio Sousa, will take Fado to Praça do Mar, starting at 20:00 on the 2nd. Sons of the City and The Siblings&The Last Minute Band.

At the end of these “Petiscos do Pescador” the popular music artist José Malhoa will perform at 21 pm.

Every day of the event there will be performances by the duo Nuno and Nestor at 18 pm.
